Welcome to the Longcroft Clinic Online
The Longcroft Clinic offers a full and comprehensive medical service under one roof with a large team of ancillary staff both clerical and clinical. We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, travel vaccinations, NHS Health Checks and childhood vaccinations.
In addition to everything you need to know about the practice you will also find a wealth of health-related information in the menu on the right hand side. At the bottom of the screen you can order prescriptions online, sign up for the practice news letter and complete a survey form to give us feedback on the practice.
We recommend that all patients sign up for the online services, this will enable you to book appointments, order repeat prescriptions etc.
We have an automated telephone service which gives you the option to book your own appointment or speak to a Receptionist. The telephone lines take a vast number of daily telephone calls so we do apologise if you experience difficulty getting through.
Patients are able to pre-book appointments 2 weeks in advance or phone on the day for a same day appointment. Same day appointments are available from 8.30am for morning clinic or after 2pm for the afternoon clinic, all appointments are subject to availability.
Currently the surgery has 5 Partners and 5 salaried GP's. All patients are allocated a 'named' GP when they register at the surgery. On booking an appointment you can, if prefer, request to see any GP. The GP's clinic are always full and individual appointments are booked for 10 minutes, this is to discuss your main medical problem. Any additional medical problems the GP will ask you to rebook for another appointment.
All staff have to complete their 'on line' training which is updated annually and modules are set for their job roles. We also do hold regular staff meetings to discuss all aspects of the surgery
The surgery does operate a zero tolerance policy.
We also are aware of the privacy for all our patients and staff, if you prefer to speak in private then please do ask at Reception.
The surgery is committed to improving the services we provide to our patients. To do this it is vital that we hear from people about their experiences, views and ideas for making a better service. The group meet every quarter to discuss practice developments and services. You would serve on the PPG committee and be helping us to plan ways of improving patients that suit you. It also means we can keep you informed of opportunities too give ideas and to date with developments within the Practice.
