New Patient Registration
The doctors welcome new patients who live within our practice area. Please check with the practice before completing the forms and we can check that you are in our area.
You are required to provide photo identification and proof of address when completing the forms and it usually takes 3-5 working days to complete your registration and have you on our systems. On registration you will be assigned a lead GP who will cover all of your household.
It is practice policy to offer all new patients a registration medical. This will enable you to meet with our nurses and staff to discuss any problems you may have. Any regular medication you have will need to be faxed to our surgery from your previous doctors surgery.
We do not discriminate on the grounds of sex, race, colour, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion or disability.
If you are away from home and require emergency treatment we can register you as a temporary patient.
We can have you on our records for a maximum of 3 months - to register as a temporary patient you will need to contact Reception. You will be required to complete some paperwork and we will accommodate you subject to availability.
Please note Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. We are unable to do referrals or discuss ongoing health issues when you are a temporary patient; you will have to do this with your usual GP Surgery.
We also remain the right to refuse to offer temporary registration if your surgery is local to our area.
