Repeat Prescriptions

medication3Repeat prescription requests are not accepted over the telephone.

Please ask for repeat prescriptions either personally at reception, by post, fax or by following the link to the online form on this page. The prescription is ready for collection 2 working days later during the times that the clinic is open. Should you require the prescription to be posted to you please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Prescriptions can also be delivered to a named pharmacy on request.

Please allow 48 hours excluding weekends and Bank Holidays for your repeat prescription request to be processed.

Urgent Prescriptions

If your repeat prescription request is 'urgent', you will need to attend the surgery in person and fill out an 'urgent' prescription form. This will be passed to the Duty Doctor who will assess  if the request warrants urgent attention or can be dealt with as routine within 48 hours. You will only be contacted if the Duty Doctor agrees that the medication is urgent and required the same day.

Hospital Prescriptions

Hospital prescriptions will only be issued at the Doctors discretion, some medications can only be issued by the hospital pharmacy. Hospital prescriptions can take 5 working days to process

If you need a new medication that has been issued to you by the hospital, please check that the surgery has received a letter from the hospital with the medication details before requesting it as a 'repeat' prescription.
