Practice Nurses

Appointments can be made with the Practice Nurse for any of the following:

  • Tetanus Vaccinations
  • Child Immunisations
  • Lifestyle Consultations
  • Smoking
  • Cervical Smears
  • Wound Dressing
  • Removal of Stitches
  • Asthma Clinic
  • Diabetic Checks
  • Stop Smoking Clinic
  • Travel Immunisation

Also, at the request of a doctor:

  • Blood Pressure Checks
  • Blood Tests (must be carried out in the morning)
  • Urine Tests (must be carried out in the morning)
  • Doppler Testing
  • Spirometry
  • Reversibility Spirometry
  • ECG

We do have a Specialist Diabetic Nurse and GP.  Your GP or Practice Nurse may recommend you see either of the Specialists for better diabetic control.  Please see Reception to book an appointment.

Blood Tests

Please ring the surgery to make an appointment with the Phlebotomist or HCA

Flu Vaccinations

The flu vaccine is available from the beginning of October. Please contact the surgery to arrange an appointment. If you are unable to attend the surgery a home visit is possible- please speak to reception for further information. The vaccination is recommended for the following:

  • Over 65's
  • Chronic Respiratory Disease ( Asthma, COPD)
  • Chronic Heart Disease
  • Chronic Kidney Disease
  • Carers
  • Stroke, TIA
  • Diabetes Type 1&2
  • Immunosuppressed including pts having chemo
  • High dose steroids
  • No spleen
  • Pregnant women

Minor Op's

Minor surgery clinic, when advised by the Doctor, Thursdays 12.00 - 13.30 and Friday 14.30-15.30


Tuesday appointments 14.00 - 16.00

Non NHS Services

For all services that are not covered by the NHS unfortunately charges will apply. This includes all private medicals, GP letters, insurance letters and forms.
